Senior Pastor:

Rev. Dr. Patrick Schoenberger

After university he became actively involved in ministry before attending Edmonton Baptist Seminary (Taylor Seminary) and graduating with his Master of Divinity degree. Patrick has pastored three congregations (Stettler, Camrose, and Medicine Hat) over the past twenty-six years and during that time graduated with his Doctor of Ministry degree from Carey Theological College. Patrick has been to Israel three times and has a passion for raising up courageous disciples of Christ in the midst of an often-hostile culture. He and his wife Marion have two adult daughters.

Families & Womens Ministries Coordinator:

Julie Lane

Passionate about laying a solid foundation of biblical truth in young hearts, Julie leads the Families & Womens Ministries at Heights Baptist Church. She finds immense joy in watching children grasp foundational concepts and grow in their ability to understand and defend the truths of Scripture.

Since 2023, Julie has brought her dedication to Heights Baptist, building on previous experience running an apologetics ministry where she had the privilege of learning from some of the world’s leading apologists. Her approach to children's ministry is all about making truth fun and accessible, emphasizing that the Bible is not just stories but real history, the essential tool for understanding our world and ourselves.

In addition to her work with children and families, Julie also leads a weekly Ladies' Bible Study where women connect and explore the practical relevance of Scripture for their lives today. She is passionate about studying the Bible, recognizing its profound insights into God's kingdom and how its truths apply to our lives and the world around us.

At the heart of Julie's life are her two children, Zach and Paige, who she credits with making her a better person. Adding to the joyful activity are her two dogs, Mable and Molly, who ensure she gets plenty of walks (and might be her excuse for a quick exit now and then – just kidding!).
